Workshop Update: We’re Expanding Our Team!

Things have been incredibly busy here at the Roach Manufacturing Ltd workshop. With a steady stream of rare historic vehicles coming through our doors and exciting new restoration projects on the horizon, our team is growing.

We are officially on the lookout for a talented, down-to-earth Coachbuilder to join our close-knit team. If you love the smell of a traditional workshop, take pride in master craftsmanship, and have a genuine passion for keeping motoring history alive, we want to hear from you.

Unlike modern, repetitive assembly lines, our workshop offers the chance to work on unique, custom, and historically significant projects where no two days are the same.

What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our skilled workshop team, your day-to-day will involve traditional metalwork and structural fabrication, including:

Metal Shaping: Wheeling, shaping, and shrinking sheet metal (both aluminium and steel) to recreate flawless classic body panels.

Framework Fabrication: Restoring and fabricating traditional timber or steel frames.

Assembly & Finish: Welding, riveting, and meticulously aligning panels to achieve a perfect, historically accurate finish.

Bespoke Projects: Problem-solving and collaborating on rare, one-off classic car restorations.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a craftsperson who respects old-school techniques but can work efficiently within a modern, professional team. Ideally, you will have:

Proven Experience: A solid background in coachbuilding, panel beating, or classic car restoration.

An Expert Eye: Exceptional attention to shape, symmetry, and fine detail.

Technical Skills: Strong MIG/TIG/Oxy Acetylene welding skills.
